Policies & Procedures Please place your initials in each corresponding field to show that you have read, understood, and agree to each of the policies laid out in this section. 1. 24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY: With adequate notification, we can fill and/or eliminate gaps in the lesson schedule. Please be aware that if you do not show up or cannot cancel by phone 24 hours prior to your lesson time, you will be charged for the lesson. * 2. Inclement Weather Policy: Lessons will be cancelled by the instructor under conditions that are unsafe for riding - for instance, thunderstorms or frozen ground. We will attempt to notify customers by email, phone or text when conditions are unrideable. Often when it is raining in other parts of Memphis, it is not raining in Lakeland, so please check with us before assuming lessons are cancelled. If lessons are not cancelled and you do not show up, you will be charged for the lesson. We encourage our customers, especially beginners, to have an unmounted horsemanship lesson in place of the normal mounted lesson if mounted lessons are cancelled. * 3. Payment for lessons is due on or before the day of the lesson. If the lesson is not paid for on or before the day of the lesson a $5 surcharge will be assessed. * 4. Lessons must be paid for in advance in order to take advantage of the prepayment discount by purchasing a lesson card. Lesson cards will expire six months from the date of purchase. * 5. No jumping allowed unless supervised by a TF instructor or the rider is in a lesson. * 6. An ASTM/SEI certified helmet is required at all times while mounted. * 7. Jeans or breeches required. No shorts allowed while riding. * 8. Children under the age of 6 years old are not allowed in the cross-tie area without a parent or staff member. * 9. Riders are not to ride alone, period. Riders under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult. Please confirm with your instructor before dropping off your child at the barn and ask about pick-up times. * 10. All gates are to be latched at all times. Doublecheck with a staff member before turning a horse in or out. * 11. The farm has 3 dogs: JD and Tuck are boxers, and Sadie is an Australian Shepherd. They are very friendly but may bark when you pull up. If you are scared of or have issues with dogs, please let a TF staff member know ASAP. As a general rule, please do not bring your own dogs. * 12. Parents and family members of riders are asked to not be in the arena during lessons. We provide chairs around the arena for viewing, and you are welcome to drive your car around to the arena to watch. * 13. All customers are expected to clean up after themselves and their horses, included but not limited to manure, debris after hoof picking, towels, brushes after grooming and hosing out the wash rack after use. * 14. Verbal or physical abuse of other clients or animals will result in dismissal from our program at the discretion of Trinity Farm. * The field below serves as my signature as the parent of a minor student/boarder or as a student/boarder that I agree to the provisions above and have read and understand and agree to all of the policies and standards spelled out above.
