February was a busy month at Trinity Farm. With slightly better weather than January, we nonetheless got to ride in some snow flurries! As you already know, in the first part of February, Shanna rode well in St. Louis, and Meredith and Teddy were featured in Smartpak’s Winter Magazine.
Our big event in the second half of February was the Family Funspots Camp fair at Wolfchase Galleria. We got to meet many kids and families looking for a fun summer camp.
Members of the barn family showed up throughout the day to help promote Trinity Farm (many in their riding gear!),
and we got to meet other organizations in the area.
We had a lovely booth set up with lots of pictures.
We also got to play with hula hoops!
Mandy was the pro,
but everyone had fun trying it out!
Even Ms. Sharon!
Last week, we had five juniors and seniors from St. Mary’s Episcopal School come out to the farm to spend the day shadowing Jenna. They jumped in feet first on a cold, rainy day with no complaining – mucking stalls, filling water buckets, and learning how to groom, lead, and sidewalk for the therapeutic riding lessons.
They even got to ride a little bit and practice catching each other in assisted emergency dismounts before volunteering with several lessons. Thanks to our boarders and riders who showed up in the cold and rain to help out or take a lesson that day – you helped complete the experience!
Looking forward to March, we have the RMI show in Cleveland, TN next week, our barn show on March 23rd, and the first MegFord schooling show of the year March 30-31. What a busy month!
