Trinity Farm has many exciting things happening in 2014! Our schedule is live at http://trinityfarmtn.com/calendar/.
Summer camp registration is open! We have three weeks of day camp this year: June 2-6, July 7-11, and July 21-25. As always, campers will get to ride every day, learn horse skills, and have fun with water games and arts and crafts. More information about camp and registration is available here: http://trinityfarmtn.com/summer-camp/
We are excited to announce that the second week of camp will be an overnight camp in partnership with Camp Pinecrest in Moscow, TN. Campers will arrive at Pinecrest on Sat., come to Trinity Farm from 9-2 Mon-Thurs and return to Pinecrest in the evening for traditional overnight camp activities. On Friday, we will trailer the horses out to Pinecrest for some trail riding. Look for more information on how to register for this exciting opportunity soon!
Pinecrest Overnight Equestrian Camp will be June 15-20.
We will have two farm shows this year. Our spring show will be March 8, with a rain date of April 26. The fall show date is yet to be decided. We had several first-timers in the fall, so we are looking forward to a great turnout this year!
MegFord Schooling Shows
The MegFord Schooling Show dates are March 28-29, June 20-21, August 22-23, and October 31-November 1. The wonderful Friday Hospitality Nights at MegFord while the jumpers from 2’3″ to 3’6″ run in the bowl will continue, and the “Rusty Stirrups” Division (for riders older than 30 who have not shown in 10 years) will now be a regular addition. Saturday will see the hunter divisions from cavaletti to 3’6″. In addition, they have announced that they are separating the open 18″ to 2′, 2′ to 2’3″, and 2’6″ hunter divisions into older and younger splits for pinning ribbons. The classes will run concurrently, but over 18’s and under 18’s wil now be judged and pinned separately.
In-town rated shows include Springtime in Dixie, Memphis in May, Germantown Charity Horse Show, TN Hunter/Jumper Classic and Harvest Time. Out of town, we are planning to go to St. Louis Winter Festival, Gulf Port, and two weeks in Kentucky at the end of the summer at the Kentucky Horse Park. As always, even if you are not competing at these shows, we welcome spectators! We had kids and adults travel with us to several out of town shows last year, and everyone had a great time.
