The sun is slowly starting to stay out longer in the evenings, a sure sign that spring and warmer weather are on their way. Unfortunately, though, we still have a couple of months left of winter. And when you’re tacking up with almost-numb fingers or hitting the frozen ground with cold toes when you dismount, summer feels like eons away.

We love summer for a variety of reasons–short sleeves, thinner breeches, summer coats (good-bye static-y winter fluff!), fewer days of muddy paddocks, show season, the list goes on. But one thing we’re really looking forward to are the fun, horse-filled days of summer camp!

Trinity Farm Camps

20130628_JMM_00022This year, because the wait for summer was too long, we will be having a camp during spring break, in addition to our usual four summer camps. Camp is a great place to not only improve your riding skills, but to increase your over-all equine knowledge about horse health, safety, and care in a fun, interactive way, guided by our experienced counselors. And it’s a great place to meet and bond with other equine-enthusiastic kids of all ages.

Camp will be held on the following dates:

  • Spring Break Camp: March 16 – 20, 2015
  • Summer Camp I: May 25 – 29, 2015
  • Summer Camp II: June 8 – 12, 2015
  • Summer Camp III: July 6 – 10, 2015
  • Summer Camp IV: July 20- 24, 2015

Camp is from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday – Friday and the cost is $375 per rider. There is a $50 surcharge for any child requiring one-on-one assistance. Referral discounts and sibling discounts are offered.

To sign up, visit the Camp page and fill out the registration form. If you are a Trinity Farm member, log in and most of your information will be filled out for you.

For those who demonstrate need, ECHO Foundation will be sponsoring several campers this year. To be considered, you must apply for the Collin’s Camper Grant.

Trinity Farm & Pinecrest – The Ultimate Away Camp

Trinity Farm has once again partnered with Pinecrest this year to provide a week-long equestrian camp. Campers will combine all the experiences of an away camp–bunking in cabins, hiking in the wilderness, a camp fire with s’mores–with all the experiences of a Trinity Farm camp–horses, horses, and, oh yeah, more horses. Campers will be staying at Pinecrest in LaGrange, TN and shuttle in on a camp bus to Trinity Farm to enjoy our fantastic equines during the day.

The Equestrian Camp will be held on June 15 – 19, 2015.

The Pinecrest Equestrian Camp is just one of many camp types offered by Pinecrest. To register or to learn more about Pinecrest or their camps, visit Pinecrest Summer Camp. If you register by March 15, 2015 there’s a $30 discount.

Boot Camp – A New Kind of Camp

  • Boot Camp I: April 3, 2015
  • Boot Camp II: May 22 – 24, 2015
